I have to have an organized music collection, so if I rip something or friends/artists share with me I use this program. Before I get started I set my custom tag options to name the track in the "Artist - Title" format. I sync IDV3 tags then >tools> rename using IDV3 tags. Keep in mind that there need to be some tags already there for this to work. If you are missing all tags then you need to either fill these in with the information about the song, or use a program to download and tag the file with the information. IF you are an artist depending on what program you are using you can do this several ways, I want to stress that the more information the better and PLEASE when you enter this information enter it in the RIGHT place. If it says title that means the name of the song, artist is who sings the song! Album is also good, if it is not an album or on an album yet it is a demo! When it comes to your career in the music industry you want your tracks to be embedded with all the info on you as an artist as possible! Its hard to share a song and say "hey this song is great, its called track 1 and damn what was the artist name"? Any how, after you make sure the information is correct, voila, now the are in order and they look like this; "Artist - Title.mp3" and not like this; "01-track.mp3" I like to be able to see what I am listening too is called, and who sings it! It doesn't do it automatically, but you won't have to worry about it automatically renaming your stuff the wrong artist and title name! :D Excellent.
